Quick Tester

    To use the Quick Tester, you simply plug the line cord on the tester into the 120 VAC outlet, then plug the interface cable that comes from the wall into the tester and press the test button.

    The Quick Tester will now display a pattern of lights.  Compare this pattern with the chart below to determine the operating condition of the room wiring.

Quick Tester Patterns

NOTE:  When  incandescent  lights  are  used exclusively AND the display indicates "OK, Incandescent Only", the  mode  switch  on  the  high  voltage  board  may be  switched to "Incandescent".  This  will  allow  room  lighting  to  be  controlled  by  the console and 3-way switch.

WARNING:  If the mode switch is moved to "incandescent" with incorrect wiring, DAMAGE WILL OCCUR to the High Voltage PC Board, and the DANGER OF INJURY TO PERSONNEL EXISTS.

NOTE:  Several  modes of operation are possible with the COW Industries Refraction Desk.  The basic wiring, described previously, may be modified to operate with incandescent lamps only, or with two sets of incandescent  lamps.

IMPORTANT:  If the desk is wired to operate on incandescent lamps ONLY, the 3-way switch and the desk outlet MUST be on the SAME ELECTRICAL PHASE (same breaker).
